Ice Cream Surprise Recipe

The Ice Cream Surprise dessert was created for a ladies luncheon one day when I didn't have time to bake or run to the store for a suitable ladies day dessert. This quick and easy dessert is created with Cookies and Cream ice cream, orange marmalade and whipped cream and can be prepared ahead of time and set in the freezer. Just remember to take it out of the freezer to thaw about 15 minutes before serving.

Ingredients

Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
1 Jar Orange Marmalade
Whipped Cream

Instructions

  • Put one to two scoops of Cookies and Cream ice cream in a small dessert bowl or glass.
  • Put one to two teaspoons of orange marmalade over the ice cream.
  • Set the bowls or glasses in the freezer until about 20 minutes before serving the dessert.
  • Squirt whipped cream over the top of the ice cream and marmalade and serve.

    • Variation 1

  • Use plain vanilla ice cream if you don't have Cookies and Cream ice cream.
  • Dribble chocolate syrup over the top of the vanilla ice cream and add orange marmalade.
  • Squirt whipped cream over the top before serving.

    • Variation 2

  • Use Cookies and Cream ice cream.
  • Put one to two teaspoons of strawberry jam over the ice cream.
  • Squirt whipped cream over the top before serving.

    • Variation 3

  • Use vanilla ice cream.
  • Dribble chocolate syrup over the ice cream.
  • Put one to two teaspoons of strawberry jam over the ice cream.
  • Squirt whipped cream over the top before serving.

    • Variation 4

  • Use Two scoops of Cookies and Cream ice cream
  • Put one to two teaspoons of grape jelly over the ice cream.
  • Squirt whipped cream over the top before serving.
